フルサイズの17”ボディにロングスケール・ネックを組み合わせたアーチトップ・モデル、Westville Grande（グランデ）です。エボニー（本黒檀）の指板を持つハードメイプル1ピース・ネック、削り出し単板のシトカ・スプルース・トップ、同じく削り出し単板のハードメイプル・バック、そして単板のハードメイプル・サイドを持つ17インチ幅/2 7/8インチ（約73mm）厚のボディ。フルサイズ･モデルの定番とも言える構成で組み上げられたこのモデル、そのグラマラスなアーチトップ/アーチバックのボディから奏でられるトーンは、低域のサウンドにおいても輪郭がぼやけることなく、アンサンブルの中でもパワフルな音抜けを誇ります。フルサイズながら、決して生音のボリュームのみに拘るのではなく、アンプリファイズ時にいかに優れたユーティリティを保てるか、そんな設計コンセプトも織り込まれたウェストヴィル流の17インチモデル、「グランデ」。ウェス･モンゴメリーのようなトラディショナルなジャズギター、フィンガーピッキングによるアコースティック・ミュージック等々、様々なスタイルのプレイヤー様にお試し頂きたいフルサイズ･アーチトップです！

Our Westville “Grande” is a unique 17” arch top guitar that features a 2-7/8” body depth as well as a 25-1/2 scale length. Its neck is made of a solid one piece hard maple with a beautifully crafted ebony fretboard. Its acoustic sound projection is very strong and present and its tone is genuinly warm and clear.The entire range of the instrument is precisely and harmonically balanced and it also displays the same qualities when amplified and used more as an electric instrument.We highly recommend this model to guitarists with playing styles in the “Wes Montgomery” tradition as well as finger-style acoustic players.The guitar also features a fully carved solid Spruce top, and a fully carved solid Hard Maple back with the signature “Westville” solid Hard Maple sides.This instrument is another truly unique creation that we hope can bring to life the golden age of jazz guitar tone and sound and inspire many contemporary players to revisit and explore such sound.
